  2. My turn to step onto the poetry stage:

There once was a girl from Madrid
    Whose haircuts cost 35 quid
All those years in Oak Park
    Did indeed leave their mark
‘Cause she likes Tom Cruise more than El Cid.

  3. I can’t believe you are 34 YEARS OLD! Happy birthday to my favorite spanish daughter in law. I hope you are having a good day, and with all the holidays you have I can’t believe you have to work on your birthday.

Have a glass of wine on me tonight.

  4. Maria,

How could your husband be so cruel
To use his blogsite as a tool
    Advertising your age as 34!!
    Here’s what I would do
    If I were you….
I’d go spend his money like a drunken fool!

I know, I know, it’s pretty bad – but it’s the best I could do other than wishing you a very Happy Birthday and many, many more!

    Love
    Big Mamma

  7. Hello everybody!

Thanks for the great poems and the reminder that I am not that old after all…

Believe it or not, I am actually back home and getting ready for our vacation. And I have promised Sal that I will not bring my laptop with me…

    María
